The status of the drive disk should be checked when any of the following occurs:
● The body shakes noticeably when starting/shifting gears.
● Metal debris is present in the transmission fluid.
● Stepped wear is visible in the spline area.
● A vibration tester shows excessive 2nd order vibration.
Maintenance recommendations:
1. Check the preload of the drive tray bolts (standard value 120±5Nm) every 60,000km.
2. Replacement requires simultaneous cleaning of the torque converter contact surfaces.
3. The use of original factory specified grease is recommended.
